What is GDPR?
The European Union / UK data-protection law giving people strong rights over their personal data, such as access and deletion.
The General Data Protection Regulation applies to organisations serving people in the EU/UK, wherever the company is based. It grants the rights to access, correct, delete, and move your data, and to object to uses like direct marketing. Requests are free, companies must usually reply within a month, and national data protection authorities can fine those who ignore you. California's CCPA and many other laws worldwide grant similar rights.
